Abraham Lincoln sits within the skyline of Las Vegas, home to the ICSC RECon retail and real estate convention.

In just a few short days, Delucchi Nation will be heading to ICSC’s annual RECon in Las Vegas. Keep an eye out for Chris Delucchi, Stephanie Orton-Lynch and Brittanie Clement as they join the Washington DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP) in booth C1721. Want to know what else to see at RECon this year? Here are our 5 picks for must-see sessions, panels and events:

On May 22, ICSC hosts the annual MAXI Awards, recognizing the best in retail marketing, new media strategies and NOI enhancement programs. 1. Keynote: Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos

Countless stories and articles have been written about Tony’s leadership as CEO of Zappos, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to hear him speak in person about leading, retail and his vision for the future of communities through the lens of his Downtown Project—“a group committed to transforming downtown Las Vegas into the most community focused large city in the world.” Tony takes the stage at Westgate Hotel – Paradise Event Center at 2:30pm on Sunday, May 22.

  1. WeDC Retail Reception

Come mingle with D.C.’s mayor Muriel Bowser and learn what makes D.C. such a great market for retailers. We’ll be there with WDCEP for some drinks and snacks and to talk about some of the opportunities and developments springing up in D.C. The WeDC Retail Reception takes place on Sunday, May 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Foxtail Nightclub and Pool at the SLS Hotel Las Vegas.

  1. Cocktail Hour at the WDCEP Booth

Delucchi Plus will be hosting our very own cocktail hour in partnership with WDCEP at booth C1721 in the Central Hall. Swing by on Monday, May 23 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. for a cocktail and a free gift for saying hi.

  1. Capitol (Re)Development

This session hits close to home. Come learn from two D.C. projects that we’ve had the pleasure of working on in the past: The Yards and The Wharf, and see what it takes for developers, retailers and municipalities to develop new destinations in D.C. The panel takes place on Tuesday, May 24 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Westgate Hotel- Ballroom B.
