Delucchi University: How to Identify, Address and Manage Scope Creep

Positive client relationships are a top priority here at Delucchi Plus. And part of maintaining a healthy client relationship is being able to identify scope creep, or the gradual expansion past a project’s original goals, to make sure our clients are getting the full experience they’ve signed on for.

At this week’s Delucchi University, we sat down with our very own Account Supervisor, Christy Stillwell, who walked us through a number of tips and tricks for managing common scope creep scenarios. Christy taught us her favorite life hacks for keeping projects on track, showed us how to ensure that additional requests are in line with original goals, and offered a number of insights for sticking to budgets.

One of the most important common threads through all of her points was the value of clear communication. This can make all the difference in ensuring everyone’s expectations (both on our side and the client’s) are on the same page throughout every step of a project.
