In August, Pinterest introduced its new messaging feature and at first, this seemed a little confusing for some. After all, the forum is mainly a way for people to express their things that personally inspire and interest them.

This new and improved method of communication within Pinterest, however, means that you can now share those things with family and friends. Craft ideas, recipes, vacations, and event ideas can all become shared commodities and it becomes easier to plan things as a group.

According to an article on Adweek, this also means that Pinterest can join Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube as a “major marketer in the social tech arena.” Tech marries advertising in a beautiful wedding, and you’re all invited! And of course, you can plan it using Pinterest wedding boards.
