To Vegas and Back: Highlights From ICSC RECon

Earlier this week, we headed out to Vegas for the biggest show in commercial real estate: ICSC’s RECon convention. With 40,000 people in attendance and hundreds of events, speakers, sessions and meetings taking place, there was a lot to cover in three days, but here are the highlights from an incredible convention:

• Our client, Peterson Companies, won an ICSC MAXI Silver award for their Re-Imagining the Holidays campaign at Downtown Silver Spring.

• We had a blast hosting a cocktail party and representing the best of D.C. at WDCEP’s beautiful convention booth.

• Maryland does more than crabcakes and football—they also know how to throw a poppin’ party. The Maryland Party at The Wynn was not to be missed, and was a great place to learn about Maryland’s “bullish on business” stance, reinforced by giving attendees a chance to hang on to a mechanical bull.

• The Bisnow Beltway Bash brought together 800 commercial real estate heavy-hitters for great food, drinks and conversation with some of D.C.’s biggest developers. Head over to Bisnow for the highlight reel.

And last but not least, we loved spending time with clients, Marketplace Development, the Peterson Companies, TORG, One Loudoun, Urban Atlantic and Hines. We hope everyone enjoyed #RECon16 as much as we did!
