How We Work: Creative Team Meetings

Creative Meeting Pano Small (1)

Each Thursday afternoon, Delucchi Plus creative team meetings mildly disrupt the office volume level. We gather to talk about current work, upcoming items, and to get feedback on creative concepts. The meeting typically begins with everyone going around the table to give their 3 H’s: Hot, Help and Highlight.

Hot is a brief explanation about what is the most important project you are involved with. This usually leads to some good dialog with people pitching in additional insights. It is always nice to have a fresh outsider’s perspective sometimes.

Help is pretty self explanatory — if any team member is totally under water, or looking for fresh insight, now’s the time that everyone pitches in.

Highlights center around great client wins, new exciting work or fun weekend plans.

Outside of other general announcements this meeting serves as a time for team members to bring up a quick brainstorming session, share new industry trends or even give recaps of industry events they have attended. Meetings are kept light-hearted with lots of interjections of comedy and sometimes snacks. Today’s meeting was highlighted about an explanation on who Nirvana was to some of the younger team members that might have still been in diapers when Smells Like Teen Spirt was on the airwaves.

At Delucchi Plus, we believe in the importance of downtime to keep the creative juices flowing.
