Eckhaus Latta + SASSOON Find Creativity In A Crowded Space

2.19 britt

Last week, team Delucchi headed to New York with SASSOON to stake our claim in one of New York’s biggest event series – New York Fashion Week (NYFW). The weather was freezing but the designers were on point and creative forces were on fire! We started the whirlwind weekend with a SASSOON’s sponsored Style Coalition influencer lounge, and had more than 200 of the biggest names in beauty visit us during the two-day event.

But spending time just steps away from all the action at Lincoln Center wasn’t enough to satisfy our cravings for creativity and high-design.

Enter Eckhaus Latta: a New York-based fashion label designed and executed by Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta.

This season’s Eckhaus Latta A/W showcase managed to capture the very essence of what it means to be creative in an ever growing crowded space that is fashion. Yes, the line was incredible but this particular collection was designed around a concept bigger than clothing. Between the music from Dev Hynes, the blank canvas venue of Artists Space in Soho, and SASSOON’s insane creativity in hair design, the show was nothing short of otherworldly.

“The artsy downtown label always have a few tricks up their sleeve, and this season didn’t disappoint.” – Vogue

We’d have to agree with Anna Wintour & Co. on this one. As marketers and brand advocates we’re fueled by curiosity and a lust for the creative, needless to say this high-design show hit the spot. We left New York just the way you’re supposed to after Fashion Week, a bit tired albeit immensely inspired.

Congrats to the design team at Eckhaus Latta, Michael Forrey, Creative Director of SASSOON New York Downtown and the whole SASSOON family on a job well done!
