This Message Brought To You By Caffeine + Chocolate

This is not a blog post about Piper Chapman, her fellow inmates at Litchfield Penitentiary and season 2 of “Orange Is The New Black.” I’m on episode two, and so far thoroughly grossed out by the frequent display of cockroaches across my screen. Apparently, conditions for inmates in real life are REALLY gross though, #HumanityIsTheNewBlack. Whoa.

Also, this isn’t a post about Lebron James and his cramps. Or Gatorade’s comical twitter attack spree, and later apology. “@Gatorade @ryanbkoo: The person cramping wasn’t our client. Our athletes can take the heat. “ Hah, poor King James.

This definitely isn’t a post about the Brazil and the World Cup, (stadium delayed less than a week before the first game though?!). However, go Ghana!

I thought about writing about Uber/Lyft tribulations in Virginia. Cease and desist huh, guys? But apparently you got 99 problems, and continuing to operate isn’t one. Go you!

It would be too premature to write about the Firefly Music Festival, which is June 19-22. (Music festivals and summer time just go together.) And I get to see Outkast, how COOL is that?! Ice cold! If you caught that reference, we can be friends.

No, this blog post is about the miracle of chocolate covered espresso beans and how they enabled me to type all of this in less than fifteen minutes. These energy-packed chocolate goodies appeared in our office the other day via the concerted efforts of a caring coworker and Amazon Prime. When my coworker Kimberly saw my wistful tweet about chocolate covered espresso beans, she put the order in and not two days later, I was caffeinated and sated and ready to go.

Sometimes a thoughtful act and a jolt of caffeine are all you need to keep you plugged into current events, able to stay up with the latest entertainment, AND write a blog post.
