Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

High-end movie theater concept Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chose Delucchi Plus to create a splash surrounding its debut in the Washington region. Alamo needed a strategic communications program to generate and influence editorial coverage, increase brand awareness, and leverage its reputation as an industry-disrupting entertainment experience. We designed a campaign that included strategic press outreach, buzz-building influencer outreach, a media hard hat tour, and a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Results

These strategies yielded significant press coverage in the Huffington Post, WJLA/News 8 Campbell Show, Washington Post, Washington Business Journal, Eater DC, and Northern Virginia Magazine, successfully describing Alamo as new type of entertainment experience in Loudon County, resulting in more than $100K in earned media and 250 in attendance to the grand opening event.
