Fashionably Fit: The Marriage of Tory Burch + Fitbit

8.5 olicvi

In the past year I’ve noticed a new cult following for all-things digital fitness bracelets. Two big names in wearable activity trackers, Fitbit and Jawbone, have created bracelets that track your steps, distance and calories in addition to tracking your sleep cycle and silently waking you up each morning.

The bracelets are meant to encourage you to get up and get walking to increase the amount of steps you take each day. By digitally syncing your Fitbit data with your smartphone, you’re able to keep track of your activity level while also comparing yourself to your Fitbit friends as even more motivation to get moving.

For the first time, fashion and health tech are integrating, representing a fascinating shift. Tory Burch has recently paired with Fitbit to create a line of fashionable jewelry to “conceal” your everyday fitness bracelet. People can now “bling” their Fitbit bracelets with a sleek gold cuff or silicone printed bracelet cover. The jewelry line is geared towards women who want to wear their tracker to match their everyday style.

The launch of the jewelry line can be seen as a soft-reveal of Tory Burch’s active wear line that she’s announced will be launching in 2015. Soon, fit fashionistas will not only be able to style their Fitbit Flex, but also style themselves in yoga, golf, running and tennis apparel all within the trendy high-end label.

Thanks to Tory Burch for Fitbit, you can now take one step forward, while always remaining fashion forward.
