Our Year in Review: Highlights from 2014

12.22

It’s been a tremendous year for Delucchi Plus. In January — on the heels of a 30% revenue increase in 2013 — we debuted a refreshed brand identity and website coinciding with being named the sixth-top advertising agency in the Washington Business Journal’s Book of Lists.

But that was just the beginning: This year we’ve focused on diversifying our portfolio, bringing on clients such as higi, Mrs. Fields and SASSOON to strengthen our experience in the health and wellness, consumer packaged goods and beauty industries. We’ve also continued to expand our roster of exceptional real estate clients, working on projects with The Wharf in D.C. and New York City’s storied Peter Cooper Village/Stuyvesant Town, just to name a few.

Delivering on our promise of giving back to the community, it’s been an exciting year for pro-bono projects, including launching a new website for The Lupe Fiasco Foundation, designing a fresh brand identity and website for D.C.’s Sitar Arts Center, and helping to create a more welcoming adoption experience at the Washington Humane Society.

I couldn’t be more proud of our team and their work, which has been honored in a few different ways. In May, our strategic campaign for the debut of The Capital Wheel resulted in the holy grail of P.R. placements: a Joe Biden joke on Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update.” In September, we were honored to be named among the top 25 women-owned business in Washington, D.C., in November we won four MarCom Awards and, last but not least, I’m thrilled to report that we were recognized with eight (!) 2014 Great American Living Awards (GALA) — including one for this very blog.

When I set out to form this company in 2007, I knew that I wanted to build a boutique agency that could always “plus the work” and deliver remarkable, high-quality service that exceeded client expectations, but I never could have imagined where we’d be just seven years later, working with some of the most interesting destinations, organizations, companies and services in the country and building one of the best places to work in D.C. One of the biggest factors to which we owe this success: the unique perspective and strategic level of thinking offered by each and every person at Delucchi Plus.

Cheers to a great 2014 and here’s looking forward to the year ahead!
