Today is Chris Delucchi’s birthday and her friends and colleagues here at Delucchi Plus decided to post a SURPRISE blog and video to honor our fearless leader and send her our happiest birthday wishes.
Chris certainly has led an illustrious career and life! From truly humble beginnings selling worms in her home state of Texas to founding and serving as President of the fifth top agency in Washington, D.C.
It was clear from the get-go that Chris had big things in store for her: as a girl, she broke records for Girl Scout Cookie sales and won first place for her blueberry muffins at the Benton County Fair. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in journalism, Chris made her way to D.C., starting as a sales rep for The Washington Post.
Since then, Chris has been a true trailblazer in the agency industry having held leadership and partnership positions at several successful agencies before forming Delucchi Plus in 2007. We’ve been growing ever since, applying strategic digital communications and marketing tactics to create stories for lifestyles brands in the real estate, retail, hospitality, travel and tourism, health and wellness, food and beverage, corporate, advocacy and giving segments. This year, in addition to earning a top-five spot on The Washington Business Journal’s Book of Lists, Delucchi Plus was also recognized as the largest LGBTQ-owned company in Washington, D.C. and one of America’s fastest-growing companies on The Inc 5000! This success is attributed to her passion for the agency, its clients and employees, and her personal commitment to being honest and transparent in all her business dealings.
In addition to her considerable daily contributions to the success of Delucchi Plus, Chris enjoys participating in a number of non-profits and philanthropy organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity, Friends of Cancer Research, Sitar Arts Center, the Human Rights Campaign, and more. Today, Chris lives in Washington, D.C.’s Logan Circle neighborhood and enjoys traveling, reading, skiing, biking and spending time with her wife Martha and their dog, Bella.
