Brett admits he’s always had a knack for success under pressure. So it’s no surprise he’s found himself thriving in the fast-paced world of PR… and, on occasion, deep sea scuba diving. A self-professed political junkie, Brett’s career kicked off at POLITICO and took a sweet detour into the candy industry at The National Confectioners Association, where he made the “world taste good” at the Sweet & Snacks Expo and saw his hard work lead to a successful event with double-digit growth.
“Celebrate your successes. Find some humor in your failures.” – Sam Walton
Brett’s passion for good food is met only by his thirst for a creative cocktail, and both have continuously shaped his career path. Most recently, Brett was a publicist at MoKi Media, working with savory clients that included Columbia Room, eatsa and the D.C. holiday favorite, Miracle on 7th Street. Impressive achievements — and a strong cappuccino — inspire Brett to keep pushing forward. “Crafting a creative story and gaining exposure for my clients is what drives me to do what I do,” he says. When he needs a moment to breathe, you’ll find Brett wandering around a farmers market or whipping up his next “extremely indulgent meal.”
