Ever wonder what a PR prodigy in the making looks like? In Kim’s case, it’s a precocious child and her cousin pretending to run a performing arts academy — The Kisa Luka Performing Arts Academy, to be exact. “I was always more into the ticket sales, programming and souvenir creations,” Kim explains, “And my cousin was more into the performing. She’s now an opera singer and I work in PR so I guess it now makes sense.”
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
Before her time at Delucchi Plus, Kim majored in PR and International Studies at the University of Miami, and was particularly drawn to the health, nutrition and restaurant industries. Kim further built up her communications skills at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and the American Institute of Architects, and frequently found herself mingling in the company of renowned journalists, sitting at salon-style dinners for global nutrition, and jetsetting around the country to attend events like the Aspen Ideas Festival. Now, she says, “I’m thrilled to be working with other communications experts and making a foray back into the private sector.” When she’s not making PR magic happen, Kim’s favorite free-time adventure is to visit wineries with her husband and friends.
