With Pinterest gearing up to reach 50 million active users in 2016, they’re looking to find ways to optimize and scale Pinterest’s marketing capabilities. Thus, the Marketing Developer Partners (MDP) program has been rolled out to ten initial content management brands, including Buffer, Newscred and Curalate. These efforts seem to be an attempt to optimize how brands can strategically integrate Pinterest into their organic and paid social strategy. “The goal is to help businesses have tools where they can scale, optimize and manage their content on Pinterest, whether it’s organic or paid,” says Pinterest marketing exec Jyri Kidwell. In the coming months, it will be interesting to see how these companies help redefine how marketers choose to leverage Pinterest to drive results.
